Step-By-Step:
Step 1: Go to System Setup → Accounts Payable Setup → Vendors 1099.
This screen displays a list of all available 1099 fields used for IRS reporting.
Step 2: Review the 1099 fields displayed on the screen.
Each field contains a Field ID and a Description, which are used to map vendor payments to the correct 1099 category (such as rents, royalties, nonemployee compensation, and more).
This screen also includes Payer and Recipient information fields required for generating complete 1099 forms.
Step 3: Use this screen to reference or verify 1099 field mappings when setting up vendor 1099 details or generating 1099 reports.
These fields ensure that payments made to vendors are reported under the correct 1099 box and fiscal year.
