Article Content: This Article Contains Information On Creating, Maintaining, And Modifying The Chart of Accounts For a Property. To Access The Chart of Accounts Maintenance Screen, Go To Ledger → Chart of Accounts.
All Accounts, Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss, must be entered into the General Ledger Chart of
Accounts file prior to use.
The first screen under Chart of Accounts will show you all Active and Inactive Accounts. To view or modify an
existing account, click on the Edit Icon next to Account Number. You can sort through the Chart of Accounts by
clicking the associated Header. You can sort by Account Number, Account Name, Balance Type, Cash and
Active.
A Chart of Accounts Report can be run under GL Reports. You will be able to save and print this report
Once you have clicked the icon to view details, you will be taken to the Chart Details:
From this screen you will be able to edit the Account Name, Description, Account Use, Account Type, Account
Code, Balance Type, mark the Account as inactive, and change the corresponding Stat Acct Number.
If an Account has activity you will not be able to delete it, instead mark the Account Number as
Inactive.
To delete an account that has no activity, check next to the account(s) and select “Delete”
If you try to delete an account with activity, you will get the error:
To view Budget/Plan and Last Year Actuals, click on the Comparative tab:
You can view multiple years by changing the plan under “Select a plan”.
