Update Sales Tax Percentages

SETTINGS: HOW TO UPDATE SALES TAX PERCENTAGES

Step by Step

Step 1: Navigate to Settings by clicking on the Gear Wheel icon on the top-right corner of the screen.
 

Step 2: Click on the Tax Management button from the left menu. 
 

Step 3: Click on Add Tax Type. In the pop-up, fill in the name of the new tax, chart of accounts, and enter in rate % (enter as # and omit the % symbol). Click Save.

You will need to create a new tax item with the new tax rate as no two taxes can have the same name for historical purposes.

Step 4: Adding the new tax rate to an inventory item in the Inventory Center:
  1. Settings (Gear wheel)
  2. Inventory Center 
  3. Double click on the item
  4. Select the Tax Group dropdown
  5. Select the new tax rate
  6. Update
